We are delighted to update you that New Beginnings Primary School is thriving. The children are working hard in their academic studies and in their sports and as a result, are achieving excellent results.

The school now has roughly 300 students and we have recently accepted new students who are in need of sponsorship. Here’s a little update from our Primary Five class who can tell you more about what it’s like to be a student at New Beginnings Primary School.

‘Dear brothers and sisters in United Kingdom,

We are primary five class from New Beginnings Primary School, in a small village in Nakasongola district and Uganda as a country. Our class teacher is Kizza Kezirine and his co-teacher is Hhato Kennedy.

Our school has got pets. One is called William, another one is Prince and then the last one is Princess.

We normally wake up at 5:00am in the morning to get our morning chores after bathing and brushing our teeth. By 10:30am we eat our breakfast. Lunch is normally eaten at 1:00pm. Our school lessons end at 4:30pm in the evening until the next day.

Our school has got two sections – boarding section and day section. The pupils in day section come from home. The pupils in boarding section stay at school until the end of the school term. Pupils in boarding section are under the guidance of the patron and matron. The patron is in charge of the boys and the matron is in charge of the girls.

Our main topics this term are ethnic groups in Uganda in the subject of social studies and matter and energy in the subject of science.

Football and netball together with watching movies are our favourite hobbies. We like watching Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea playing.

Rice and beef are our favourite dishes plus soft drinks.

We love our friends in the UK.
