This is Lutalo James. James was settled at New Beginnings with his younger brother, Kizza, and twin brothers, Kato and Waswa.

Before being referred to New Beginnings, their father and stepmother abused them by beating and burning their bodies using a hot knife. The boys were circumcised brutally, and their wounds were not taken care of – they became infected and are left with scars all over their body. The boy’s father was put in prison and their mother fled. James and his brothers were referred to New Beginnings for   the love, care and protection they had not known before. On their fathers release from prison, he showed much remorse and wanted to care for his sons. New Beginnings social workers have been able to resettle the boys after a period of time with their grandmother and father. All four boys now attend New Beginnings boarding section during term time and live happily with their father and grandmother on school holidays.
